Terms Entered in Search
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the search service. Chickasaw County Released Inmates does not keep or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider’s handling of a submitted query is controlled by that provider’s privacy terms.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact-form message may contain an address, name, and any details the sender chooses to include. We retain that material as needed to read and answer the request. We do not disclose a message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to respond to a valid legal demand.
Technical Details Collected Automatically
Ordinary web systems and service providers may record basic technical information when a page loads. These logs support operation, performance, security, and audience measurement. The details can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- The browser name and version
- The device class and operating system
- The pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time of the request
Cookies and Browser Controls
Cookies and similar browser storage may help show how visitors move through the site and whether features work as intended. A visitor can block or remove cookies through browser settings. Some functions, preferences, analytics, or advertising behavior may work differently after cookies are disabled.
Reasons We Use Information
Collected information is used for the limited operational purposes below. It is not sold as a list of personal details.
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and secure
- Sending a search request to the selected partner service
- Understanding which resources visitors find useful
- Finding, diagnosing, and correcting technical faults
- Presenting advertising that may reflect general interests
Websites Beyond Our Control
Links may lead to Chickasaw County offices, sheriff or corrections sources, release-record portals, federal locators, and independent search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that destination’s privacy notice and data practices apply. We do not control how another website collects, keeps, or shares information.
Advertising providers may use their own technologies to measure activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs through the provider’s systems. Its scope, choices, and retention rules are set by the provider rather than by Chickasaw County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may still pass to organizations that perform a service or respond to a lawful demand:
- Search partners that process the query a visitor submits
- Analytics providers that measure site use and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Has Practical Limits
Reasonable and commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No website, network, storage service, or internet transmission can be promised as completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee that a breach, interception, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from a person under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.
Available Privacy Requests
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a person may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal data held about that person
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal data that is eligible for erasure
- Stop or opt out of certain kinds of processing
These requests apply to information under our control. A visitor must contact the relevant search partner, analytics provider, advertising service, or government office about data held by that separate organization.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice when practices, services, or legal duties change. The updated wording will appear on this page and will carry a new effective date when one is stated. Continued use after publication is subject to the revised notice.
